Matt Lee, an oral Cancer Survivor, is a passionate spokesperson who has shared his story with thousands of school children, on MTV's Flipped Reality Show, South Carolina Sate Coaches and Athletic Trainers Meeting, and on FOX Sports Radio. Matt is featured in one of NSTEP's brochures for kids! A Texas native, Matt has worked in the pharmaceutical/healthcare industry for approximately 12 years now, with several of those years specializing in Oncology (cancer) market. He has a strong science background, but keeps his anti-spit tobacco presentations simple, personal and to the point.
An avid sportsman, Matt played his way through school on a Division 1 College Golf Scholarship at The University of Louisiana at Monroe. He was also recruited to play college baseball, but could not because of conflicting seasons. He did, however continue to play in a national competitive amateur league that he still plays in today. He is very active in playing and competing in additional sports such as Ultimate Frisbee, which is a college club sport, and is still as athletic as he was in his teens. His life is about spirituality, family, health/activity and enjoying the "second" chance he has been given! Matt's most prized affiliations are his wife, Brenna, and his children, Austin (14), Hunter (11), Emilie (4), and Gracie (9 months). 1/12/2007.
